Sweater Weather October 31, 2013 Now that the cooler weather is here, the sprinkler systems and pools have all been winterized and the boilers have been serviced, tested, and turned on. in an effort to conserve heat, it is a good idea to make sure that your windows are not only closed but also locked to minimize heat loss. Also, furniture should be moved away from the radiators and heat sources to allow for the free flow of heat throughout your home. Because the boilers are often controlled by outside thermostats, when the temps hover around 50 degrees, the boilers often do not turn on. If you find it too hot or too cold in your apartment, please contact your Managing Agent or Supt. but keep in mind that these issues often resolve themselves once the temps drop into the 40’s.
