Blizzard Warning
March 13, 2017

The approaching winter weather storm may bring wind gusts up to 60 miles per hour to the area starting tonight, Monday, March 13 and through Wednesday, March 15. Accordingly, we would like to remind all Property Owners and Residents to secure their homes, terraces, decks, yards and and equipment.

In addition, please plan to spend Tuesday indoors and don’t travel unless absolutely necessary to give the plow teams and shovelers chance to do their jobs. Based on the timing and severity of the storm it may take until mid-day Wednesday to get everyone dug out, So your patience and caution are appreciated.

To safeguard your home and surrounding areas, please consider these precautionary measures (including but not limited to the following):
• Tie down and secure all exterior items including tables, chairs, grills, etc.
• Make sure all doors and windows are securely locked and Cover electrical outlets and fixtures to limit exposure to the weather.
• Store loose tools, oil cans, and extra fuses in a tool box.
• Prepare for power loss by stocking up on batteries, candles, water, medicines, etc.
• Call 911 if there is an emergency.

With any luck, this will be the last major storm of the season, and with a few precautions and advance planing we should get through this without incident.

Winter Storm Warning
January 23, 2017

The National Weather Service has issued a Storm Warning for this evening and tomorrow with anticipated storm-force winds, which include sustained wind speeds of 40mph-75mph.

The National Weather Service has also issued a Storm Surge Watch for our local coastal areas until further notice. The combination of strong winds, dangerous storm surge and high tide may cause normally dry areas to be flooded by rising waters moving inland from the shoreline within the next 24 hours.

Please be prepared and prepare your home and review your plan for evacuation in case that becomes necessary. If you lose power and have a disability or access needs, or use Life Sustaining Equipment (LSE) and need immediate assistance, please dial 9-1-1.

Please be sure to “Batten Down the Hatches” by removing items from your back-yards, terraces, and balconies, or securing your property so it does not get blown away by the wind. Such objects can become projectiles that can cause severe damage.

We appreciate your taking common sense steps to minimize the impact and threat that this storm may pose. If you need any assistance, please be sure to call our office or your Supt.

Labor Day Weekend – Storm Warning
September 2, 2016

As you may know, we are heading into the Holiday Weekend under the cloud of a tropical storm watch this means that we could be facing the possible onset of tropical-storm-force winds, which include sustained wind speeds of 39mph-74mph.

The National Weather Service has also issued a Storm Surge Watch for our local coastal areas until further notice. The combination of strong winds, dangerous storm surge and high tide may cause normally dry areas to be flooded by rising waters moving inland from the shoreline within the next 48 hours.

During a Tropical Storm Watch and a Storm Surge Watch, prepare your home and review your plan for evacuation in case a Hurricane or Tropical Storm Warning is issued.

With the warm weather finally here, we have been hard at work getting ready for the summer. Repair and maintenance projects are getting underway. Swimming pools are being readied for the coming season, sprinkler systems are being turned on, and landscaping is being upgraded and/or replaced to show off their colors. Now is a good time talk to your Property Manager about your ideas to improve the property and address issues that were delayed due to the cold weather. We wish everyone a happy spring as we look forward to a great summer!

Winter is here.
January 18, 2016

Hi, last night we had our first real taste of winter leaving behind a slippery coating and a dusting of snow. Our teams are out sanding and salting where needed but please use extra caution when walking today. If you have a garage door, please make sure that it is closed along with all windows and doors to avoid freeze ups. The forecast is suggesting that a bigger storm with 6+ inches of snow may be in the forecast for the end of the week and our preparations are already underway. Plows, shovels, blowers, salt, and sand are at the ready; you should also plan accordingly.

Winter is Coming!
December 10, 2015

Although no one is complaining that the warm weather continues to linger into mid-December, we are busy hard at work behind the scenes preparing for the upcoming cold weather. The boilers are all prepped, serviced and ready to go but when the temp. hovers around 50 degrees, the thermostat does not always call for heat. Please call the office if there is an issue. Snow Melt is in storage and the shovels and plows are checked and ready to go. Please remember to check the batteries in your smoke detectors, flash-lights and other safety items. If you are bringing a holiday tree into or out of the building, you can ask the Supt. for a large trash bag to minimize pine needles and other debris from getting all over the hallways.

Snow Storm on the Way
January 26, 2015

The latest weather forecasts call for 12″ to 21″ inches of snow overnight followed by extremely cold temperatures. Please be assured that the plows and shovelers are on-call and will be out working throughout the storm and well into tomorrow.

Due to the predicted strength of this storm it may take some time to get your property completely dug out from the snow. The crews will be working under difficult conditions and your patience and cooperation are appreciated.

It may be a good idea to stock up today with items such as flash-light batteries in the event of temporary power loss. If appropriate please move your car(s) to allow plow access and do not venture outside unless it is absolutely necessary.
To stay up to date on weather related news, News 12 Long Island and FIOS 1 are keeping up to the minute news and updates regarding this winter storm.

Preparing for Fall
October 7, 2014

Although no one is complaining that the warm weather continues to linger into mid-October, we are busy hard at work behind the scenes preparing for fall and the upcoming winter. This time of year some days are cold and some days remind us what a great summer just passed. The pools are all closed and the boilers are being serviced and are starting to be turned on. Please note that when the temp. hovers around 50 degrees, the thermostat does not always call for heat. Please call the office if there is an issue. We are continuing to get ready for the coming winter. Snow Melt is being bought and the shovels checked. Daylight savings time is the first weekend on November so we will be re-setting the light timers, please don’t forget to check the battery in your smoke alarm.
